Hi guys! This is my first beauty haul that I’ve shared on my blog. So excited! I don’t know what it is about hauls but don’t you just love them? Gives you so many ideas on what will work for your skin tone and also seeing drugstore alternatives for high end products! I could go on but let’s get right into it:
Urban Decay mariposa palette: £14.99 from the Makeup Outlet, Solihull – This is my very first UD palette. After seeing the Naked palettes time and time again, I’ve wanted to invest in one but didn’t know whether I could justify the price at this stage. So I when I saw on Facebook that this shop were selling UD at half the price, I took that 30 minute journey on the motorway easy. I think this palette was released a little while ago but that doesn’t bother me. Here she is:
I think the colours are beautiful. From up to down these shades are: infamous, haight (fave) and spotlight. The majority of this palette has shimmer and I would say one true matte. Which you could use as a base or crease colour. I definitely am more intrigued now to explore more of the UD recent range. Next stop naked palette!
NYX HD studio finishing powder
This is a white translucent powder to set your makeup. I originally wanted the Laura Mercier powder but after a mistaken online order, I saw this being used in a tutorial and decided to purchase it. I haven’t used it yet but I loved what I saw on YouTube.
Next up the ‘Betty-Lou Manizer’ aka the bronzing bandit by The balm cosmetics- When I first swatched this in SuperDrug, I fell in love instantly. The tone was so complimentary to my skin, it was soft and pigmented. I didn’t buy it the first time as I thought £17.49 was a lot but later on I picked it up as I was still dreaming about it. It actually says that it’s an all in one bronzer, shimmer and eyeshadow! Three products in one? That’s awesome.
The lighting has not done the swatch justice , it is beautiful.
Nars Orgasm Blush limited Edition- There has been so much hype around this that I was intrigued. I went into the Nars counter in Selfridges to try it out. I don’t know about you but I don’t feel as relaxed in high end stores, sometimes the staff are not friendly, and come across very stuck up. The girl who served me was ok, but cold towards me. But I knew what I wanted so I rolled with it. This blush gives you a natural, pinched cheeks look. Not too artificial but a natural blush. I did pay the little bit extra to get the limited edition which was twice the size of the normal so yeah it was worth it.
NYX illuminator- I purchased a lot of Nyx products as there is now a stand in the Birmingham boots. I was so excited to see it. I tried this powder on in the shop, and it really did brighten up my eye area. My under eyes are dark so I’m happy for anything that will brighten the top half of my face up.
NYX ombré blush in soft flush- I thought I’d have a go at an ombré blush to see what it was like. Their mosaic blushes are so fab that I thought I’d try one of these.
Last but not at all least – Flawless ultra eyeshadow palette by Makeup Revolution- 32 shades for £8! I think this palette is beautiful. Most of the shades are shimmers and there are some mattes. They have a good amount of pigment especially for the price. My favourite swatch is Golden night so far. Definitely value for money.
Well that’s my first haul blog done and dusted. I hope you liked it! Would love your comments! Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it. Mwah!
