October favourites & First Impressions.

Hey everyone, hope you are well. I love favourites videos and blogs so I’m going to do a beauty favourites every month. This post will also include some new products that I have not used a lot but I love them and can’t wait to try them out more. I don’t know, I seem to have this thing where I buy new products, then love staring at the packaging. Then if I haven’t finished the products I’m currently using, I wait till those are finished to break open the new stuff. Keeps hold of that ‘newness’ feeling a bit longer I guess! Crazy I know. But when your into makeup, there are so many products launching all the time, that you can never be really fully up to date.

OK so here are my current favourites:

Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Kit: This is the best drugstore brows kit I’ve ever bought. Inside you get 4 brow powder shades, 2 tinted brow waxes, an eyebrow arch enhancing cream, a Highlighter , tweezers, 2 mini brow brushes and an eyebrow pencil for shaping. It is truly amazing for the price. There is also a big mirror inside. Perfect for the beginner MUA like myself. The powders and waxes are very pigmented so a little goes a long way. Also they last a good length of time. My brows do not move around or melt once the products are applied.

Next, Supercat Skinny eyeliner by Soap& Glory: I’m very much a black eyeliner kinda girl. I’m still working on getting the perfect winged liner. I have heard alot about felt tip liners, people had been saying they are easier to use. The thick felt tip pens looked scary and i didnt see how i could achieve a sharp wing with them, so i was happy to see they had a skinny one. It is alot easier to draw with this pen, but i do think with felt tip, the colour loses its sharpness over time.

Two mascaras this month: Maybelline Lash Sensational waterproof and Givenchy Noir Couture Volume: I bought the Maybelline mascara after hearing so many good reports about it online. I love it. Its volumising and curls my lashes. Now the Givenchy one was a surprise. I recieved it in the my little box subscription box. The packaging is beautiful. The mascara wand is curved and gives my lashes a lot of definition. Its travel size so i will definitely be carrying it in my bag.

Peach Lights baked Highlighter by Makeup Revolution : I have had this for a while but didnt really like it at first. I didnt understand the texture and couldnt get into the baked feel. But as i have been practicing makeup looks, i decided to use it on my inner corners of my eyes as well as a highlight. I now love it. It is a beautiful highlight for medium skin tones and i love how it opens up my eyes.

Mac Studio Finish concealer in NC42.

This has been great for concealing my blemishes and patting under my eyes to disguise dark circles. I do think though as my makeup skills improve, i may use a different concealer as the consistency is a bit thick for me. I prefer weightless products.

Last of all, Kiko Milano lip stylo in mirage: One of my makeup must haves is a red lip. So classic and so vintage. The lip stylo design is like a twist up stick rather than a fatter lipstick. This colour is very rich and has a lipgloss shine to it. You can never have enough reds!

Well these are some of my favourites from this month! Thank you for reading and feel free to comment down below.

I love the lash sensational mascara, took me a while to get into it but i love the firm brush. I haven’t tried any Kiko products yet, i keep meaning to but just have not got round to it.

Kiko is so good when they have a sale on. You can get lipsticks for like 2 pounds!
