Hello and Bonjour ! I hope you have had a good start to the year. I thought I would share with you some of my favourites from the first month of 2017. I did have a few more but I wanted to keep it short and focus on the things I have been grabbing for over and over again.
Pixi Glow tonic, £18, Marks & Spencer,Birmingham- I’m sure like myself, you guys have heard all the hype about this product. So many people have given such great reviews. It’s growing on me. It boasts an ‘original 5% glycolic acid formula, along with Aloe Vera and ginseng. It is supposed to even out skin tone, give a clearer complexion and will gently exfoliate to reveal healthy glowing skin. Also it claims it is for all skin types.
My skin feels very clean after using this and it does have a brighter appearance. As I’m using a cotton pad, I can feel that dirt and grime is being snatched away. I will need to use it for a couple more weeks to see the difference. I have been breaking out the past couple weeks and it doesn’t seem to have helped with that though. But my breakouts maybe down to other body changes (hormones) etc so I will continue to test this out.
Raw Extra Virgin Organic Coconut oil, £7.65 for 500ml, realfoods.co.uk-Everywhere I look these days I see coconut oil! The thing is coconut oil in its fully natural state has been used for years and years in the carribean and no doubt elsewhere for skin. So this is no new thing! But I guess for us Brits, we don’t have access to coconut trees, so this is the next best thing. It is so versatile!! I’m using it to take off my makeup, for my hair, for cooking and I bet there are so many more uses! I definitely want to examine more natural beauty remedies, so watch this space!
Soap&Glory Righteous Butter, £10.- This is my second tub! Which shows me how much I love it. It smells amazing and feels so rich. My skin dries out very quickly and I don’t moisturise enough. But this has got me doing it more regularly.
Urban Decay Vice lipstick in ‘Venom’, Sephora. – I bought this colour in Paris last year. And it just sat in its little bullet, up til now. It is smooth and has a glossy look. The colour is like a purple with a reddish hue. I love it so much because it’s a dark lipstick that still looks feminine.
Tarte lip creme, Qvc.- I don’t understand why these are called lip cremes, because thing I think of when I look at it, is a crayon. But the texture is on the creamy side I suppose. What I do love about it is the crayon application because it makes it easier to do a tidy, defined lip. The colour, a red Brown, is very complimentary to my skin tone.
